Wisdom Network^ā Strategy

We can achieve astounding results by leveraging the collective knowledge and experience of our member firms through our Wisdom Network^ā. This platform is based on the Two Basic Laws of the Internet and Hive Computing.

1. Moore's Law - The amount of computing power on a microchip doubles every eighteen months. - The average desktop now has more computing power than the Manhattan Project and is likely to increase by several orders of magnitude before Moore's law runs into its physical limits.

2. Metcalf's Law - The value of a network increases in proportion to the square of its users. - If the number of telephone users in a Third World Country triples, suddenly more people find they need phones, so the value of that particular network increases nine-fold. Conversely, if only two people had telephones, it would not be very valuable.

>> Hive Computing (Peer to Peer or P2P Computing)

Just as the many cells of a honeycomb make up a hive, the millions of Internet-connected computers make up a huge potential supercomputer. If these tremendous resources could act as one, the network would really be the computer. Example: The SETI@ Home Project (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) has 2.7 million users in 226 countries periodically donating a portion of their home computing power. Their rate of computing is twice the speed of the fastest supercomputer in the world. They handle all this with a staff of five people.

The natural advantage of UBA is the collective entrepreneurial wisdom of its members. By creating a common platform, the shared wisdom within our network becomes both more profound and more accessible. Wisdom is only powerful if it is shared. The more it is shared the more powerful it becomes. This wisdom is invaluable to our individual firms and to our clients.
