William
J. Howell, CLU, RHU, ChFC is a Philadelphia native who began his
business career as an agent with Connecticut Mutual Life in
Philadelphia. He then joined the Society of Financial Service
Professionals, where he eventually became Vice President, Member
Services. More recently Bill was CEO at the Insurance Education
Foundation, Indianapolis, IN, and Service One Association of Realtors
in Cherry Hill, NJ.
While on the SFSP staff, Bill completed the FLMI designation, and the
MSFS and MSM degrees from The American College. He also became active
in Chapter leadership, and his service to the Greater Philadelphia
Chapter included a term as President in 1995.
Bill is a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. He has
been active in the American Society of Association Executives,
earning the CAE designation in 1993. Bill served as President of the
Delaware Society of Association Executives in 1999, and was the
chairman of the national CAE Commission for ASAE in 2000.
Bill and Ginny, his wife, a former high school French teacher, live in Southport, NC.
